- This Khadi dress is made from 100% pure cotton Khadi fabric and embodies craftsmanship, tradition, and mindful fashion.
- Handspun and handwoven in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka using 32-count double-strand warp and 32-count single-strand weft, the fabric is highly breathable and texturally rich.
- The fabric undergoes mordanting in Harda and ferrous alum, then hand block printing in two designs using Kasim before being over-dyed in pomegranate peel (Anaar) at Melukote.
- Each piece is thoroughly washed post-dyeing, ensuring a supple fall and soft texture that drapes beautifully.
- Designed for versatility, this khadi dress can also be worn as a long kurta, making it a wardrobe essential.
- Expertly cut and stitched in our Bengaluru workshop, this dress is the result of skilled hands preserving traditional techniques and supporting local economies.
Detail: Single piece open collar with slit open, elbow length sleeves, with back yoke, two back waist darts, two side patch pockets, without side slits, with contrast printed facing.
Note: The price mentioned is for the Khadi dress only. Our garments are designed for a relaxed fit. The dress form is 5'11" with a 34.5" bust and is wearing a size S. We recommend a gentle hand wash with mild or no detergent and drying in the shade. Weave, print, and dye variations are inherent in handcrafting, making each piece unique. These are not defects but a testament to the authenticity of handmade textiles.

FAQ's
FAQ's
1] Do you offer exchanges or returns?
We don't offer refunds or accept returns. However, you can exchange for another product or size or opt for store credit. Products purchased on sale or at a discount cannot be exchanged.
2] Which size would fit me?
Our size chart shows garment measurements, not body measurements. Measure a comfortable garment you own and compare it with our chart for the best fit. Our garments are designed to be slightly loose.
3] Can I get garments stitched to my size?
We do not accept custom orders. However, we can adjust the length of sleeves or garments by up to 2 inches. Mention your preferences in the "Note to Seller" section at checkout or WhatsApp at 9886036143.
4] Is there a margin inside for alterations?
Most garments, finished with French seams, have minimal margin for alterations. However, our saree blouses, finished with flat seams, allow enough margin for size adjustments.

We ship within seven working days. Delivery takes 2–3 days within India and 7–10 days internationally, depending on the destination.
6] Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)?

7] Where is your retail store?
Metaphor Racha is an e-commerce brand with no retail store. Our Bengaluru address is a workshop where we produce minimal inventory against orders.
8] What fabric and dyes do you use?
We primarily use Khadi fabric. As mentioned in the product description, our dyes are Azo-free VAT or natural dyes.

Yes, email us at info@metaphorracha.com for wholesale inquiries. We do not provide products on consignment.
12] Is the product colour precisely as shown in the image?
We strive for colour accuracy with daylight photography. However, slight differences may occur due to screen settings.
13] What does "Metaphor Racha" mean?
"Metaphor" is a figure of speech, and "Racha" is derived from the Kannada word 'Rachane,' meaning 'to create.' We are a for-profit brand collaborating with craftspeople across Karnataka, not an NGO.
14] What are the washing instructions?
Wash in cold water with mild detergent and similar colours. Avoid dry cleaning. Flat dry in the shade and iron inside out.
15] Does the fabric shrink?
Our products are pre-shrunk. Slight additional shrinkage (up to 3%) may occur, but our garments are designed to account for this.
16] Why are handcrafted garments uneven or slightly different?
Handcrafted garments often have subtle variations in texture, weave, or print, which are hallmarks of authenticity and craftsmanship, not defects.
17] Do your products soften over time?
Yes, our Khadi fabrics become softer and more comfortable with every wash, enhancing their charm and usability.
18] Why do naturally dyed products fade over time?
Natural dyes age gracefully and may fade slightly over time, adding to the beauty and character of the fabric.
19] Do you offer gift-wrapping services?
Yes, we offer simple, eco-friendly gift wrapping. Please mention this in the "Note to Seller" section at checkout.
