We understand the confusion, as our studio address is public for transparency and regulatory compliance. However, we do not operate a traditional retail store.
The Birth of Our Studio Space
In July 2019, we moved into our current studio space, dreaming that it might evolve into a retail outlet. However, the global COVID-19 pandemic soon changed our plans. Even before the pandemic, our business model relied heavily on website sales. Post-pandemic, we adapted further by minimizing inventory and producing items on order, except for a few sarees, towels, and napkins.
A Workshop and Laboratory
Our space is a dynamic workshop where our talented tailors and I brainstorm fabric, fit, fall, and garment finishing. It is also a laboratory for experimenting with dyeing, washing, sampling, embroidery techniques, and pattern-making. This approach allows us to create unique, handcrafted pieces that reflect Metaphor Racha's true essence.
A Studio and Learning Space
Our studio is not just for documentation and photographing samples; it's a collaborative learning environment. Here, industry friends and networks discuss the latest trends, techniques, and challenges in the craft and fashion industry. Our studio space doubles as a fulfilment centre, where we meticulously pack and ship orders. It's an accounts department where we maintain transparency in our expenses and inventory. Additionally, our space is where we store our raw materials and finished products, ensuring that everything is well-organized and ready for our customers.
