Locally known as "Gudaar Patti", this is a traditional piece of textile. In the past, small-width strips of fabric were woven, & women in households would join them together using "Katri Holige" (Scissor Stitch) to create a larger piece of fabric. The resulting textile was so durable that it was used to cover bullock carts for shade & to shelter harvested foodgrains stored outside. All of it changed with the advent of plastic cement covers!
