Handmade in Karnataka, this Cotton Jamkhana is woven using a 2/20-count cotton warp and a roving cotton weft, making it soft yet sturdy. Its lightweight build makes it easy to use and maintain. This timeless craft is ideal for modern homes as a Jamkhana mat, throw, or travel blanket. Add this to your decor today!
Size - 4 foot x 7 foot (48 inches x 84 inches) Our Jamkhanas are woven from carefully collected leftover dyed yarn—transforming what remains into something truly unique.
Roving cotton is a narrow strand of loosely twisted fibres formed before producing handspun yarn. As it is fragile, weaving with it requires skill. Check the last two images for reference. Your Jamkhana may carry minor weaving irregularities and natural stains. These unique marks celebrate the artisan's touch, not flaws.

FAQ's
FAQ's
1] Do you offer exchanges or returns?
We don't offer refunds or accept returns. However, you can exchange for another product or size or opt for store credit. Products purchased on sale or at a discount cannot be exchanged.
2] Which size would fit me?
Our size chart shows garment measurements, not body measurements. Measure a comfortable garment you own and compare it with our chart for the best fit. Our garments are designed to be slightly loose.
3] Can I get garments stitched to my size?
We do not accept custom orders. However, we can adjust the length of sleeves or garments by up to 2 inches. Mention your preferences in the "Note to Seller" section at checkout or WhatsApp at 9886036143.
4] Is there a margin inside for alterations?
Most garments, finished with French seams, have minimal margin for alterations. However, our saree blouses, finished with flat seams, allow enough margin for size adjustments.
5] How long will it take to receive my purchase?
We ship within seven working days. Delivery takes 2–3 days within India and 7–10 days internationally, depending on the destination.
6] Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)?
Unfortunately, we do not offer COD.
7] Where is your retail store?
Metaphor Racha is an e-commerce brand with no retail store. Our Bengaluru address is a workshop where we produce minimal inventory against orders.
8] What fabric and dyes do you use?
We primarily use Khadi fabric. As mentioned in the product description, our dyes are Azo-free VAT or natural dyes.
9] How much are customs and duty taxes?
GST is included in our prices for Indian orders. Customs and duties for international orders depend on the destination and are not under our control.
10] How much does shipping cost?
- Within India: ₹100 for orders below ₹1000, free for orders above ₹1000.
- International: Charges depend on weight, dimensions, and destination, which are calculated at checkout.
11] Do you offer B2B or wholesale?
Yes, email us at info@metaphorracha.com for wholesale inquiries. We do not provide products on consignment.
12] Is the product colour precisely as shown in the image?
We strive for colour accuracy with daylight photography. However, slight differences may occur due to screen settings.
13] What does "Metaphor Racha" mean?
"Metaphor" is a figure of speech, and "Racha" is derived from the Kannada word 'Rachane,' meaning 'to create.' We are a for-profit brand collaborating with craftspeople across Karnataka, not an NGO.
14] What are the washing instructions?
Wash in cold water with mild detergent and similar colours. Avoid dry cleaning. Flat dry in the shade and iron inside out.
15] Does the fabric shrink?
Our products are pre-shrunk. Slight additional shrinkage (up to 3%) may occur, but our garments are designed to account for this.
16] Why are handcrafted garments uneven or slightly different?
Handcrafted garments often have subtle variations in texture, weave, or print, which are hallmarks of authenticity and craftsmanship, not defects.
17] Do your products soften over time?
Yes, our Khadi fabrics become softer and more comfortable with every wash, enhancing their charm and usability.
18] Why do naturally dyed products fade over time?
Natural dyes age gracefully and may fade slightly over time, adding to the beauty and character of the fabric.
19] Do you offer gift-wrapping services?
Yes, we offer simple, eco-friendly gift wrapping. Please mention this in the "Note to Seller" section at checkout.
20] Why should I choose Khadi?
Khadi is sustainable and breathable, and it supports rural craftspeople and local economies. Each piece is unique, eco-conscious, and carries the story of craftsmanship.
