Cornflower blue Tope-Teni Cotton Saree | Fabric of freedom
Ambara Charaka Handspun and handwoven 32 counts cotton saree. True to the nature of the fabric, this saree has a coarser texture with an open weave making it medium-heavy yet retaining the supple drape quality.
About tope teni: Pallu is woven in multi-shuttle technique (cut shuttle or interlocking of the weft yarn) forming a sharp triangular pattern with a long stem which is known as TOPE TENI pallu. It is also an indication of jowar (sorghum), the crop cultivated largely in the region of north Karnataka. (scroll down for more images).
