Handcrafted in Karnataka

Celebrate the spirit of 'Handmade' by encouraging rural craft & investing on mindfully crafted utilitarian products.

  • Cotton

We use 100% cotton & no synthetics. In pic: a cotton farmer in the Gadag district.

  • Roving

Harvested cotton is ginned, & then carded, drawn, & combed to get the roving cotton.

  • Spinning

Ambara charaka, a mechanical tool, is used by the rural women folk of north Karnataka to spin the yarn.

  • Dyeing

If not natural-dyed, our yarn is Azo-free VAT dyed. In pic: our dyer in Gadag district.

  • Warping

Warping is one of the most important processes of "designing" the textile. In pic: a ready warp frame.

  • Winding

Ambara charaka handspun yarn is wound both on warp and weft bobbins.

  • Weaving

Frame-loom is used to weave our fabric. In pic: a weaver on the loom in the Hubli district.

  • Printing

We use reactive dyes for our hand block printing process. Our printing unit is in Bengaluru.

  • Quilting

The women folk of North Karnataka engage in quilting, locally called 'Kowdhi' in their free time.

  • Kasuti

The women artisans of Dharwad engage in our traditional "Kasuti" hand embroidery.

  • Tailoring

Our skilled tailors have been working with us for the last 15 years. We use non-electrical sewing machines.

  • Eco-packaging

Our thoughtfully designed packaging can be re-used & recycled at your home.
